NORM BILOW - MANAGING DIRECTOR
I started my advertising career at DMB&B and later joined DDB Chicago supporting McDonald’s, The Home Depot, Dell, OfficeMax and AB. Recognizing a rapidly changing media landscape in 2006, I founded the full-service advertising agency, The Escape Pod, with colleague, Vinny Warren. I lead some of the agency’s largest accounts including all of our Kraft Foods work. For client OfficeMax, I created the hit reality series, “Schooled,” which was the first branded entertainment program to air on network television, garnering attention from The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Advertising Age. And I led the recent ‘Twittervention’ campaign for Wheat Thins which has generated millions of viral views, won numerous awards and has generated 12 straight months of sales gains.
I have been invited to speak at Google on the topic of leveraging technology to “earn an audience” and at DePaul University about entrepreneurial approaches to advertising. I have also been quoted and featured in AdWeek, Screen, SHOOT, the Chicago Sun-Times and New York Times.
Get to know The Escape Pod in just two minutes! Featured work includes campaigns for Wheat Thins, Babies-R-Us, Claussen Pickles, OfficeMax, Philly Cream Cheese, Herculiner, Lunchables and Whole Foods Market.
